Hit a bump and the engine bogged down

I drove my 92 D250 to work this morning. While cruising at 75 mph I hit a medium size bump on the highway and the truck bogged down. It was a lot like a poorly adjusted carburetor flooding a gas engine. The engine just went quiet.
Holding the throttle in the same place kept the engine bogged down. Once I let off the throttle and hit it again everything was fine. It drove the next 10 miles to work just fine.

I've owned this truck for 18 years and can't remember this happening before.

Any ideas why it bogged down like that?

Probably the poorest, cheapest, least effective, most poorly engineered, and downright lousy connection on that truck is the slide on connector on the FSS (fuel shutoff solenoid)

I replaced my slip-on with a soldered on and heat shrink insulated ring tongue terminal, threw the tab adapter away, and screwed the wire on the solenoid like it should be. A little dab of tune-up grease on it and it's good till I want to take it off.
