Went to open the window. The regulator ran, but the window stayed up. Then the window fell on it's own. I ran the motor up for a second, no joy. Then I palmed the window up, and ran the motor up till it hit the window and held it. As I breathed a sigh of relief (it's hot here) I heard a loud clunk as something fell into the bottom of the door.

What kind of carnage am I looking at, and what's the fix?

 

Got into the door. looks like the channel fell off the bottom of the glass.

 

Clean up the bottom of the glass and fill the regulator channel with silicone.
