Electric Lift Pump?
The piston pumps are all reliable. The old standby "1st gen" lift pump will supply mid-300's no problem if you upgrade the fuel pick-up.
If you want to go electric I recommend the Walbro 392.
I still have the piston pump on my truck, the two pumps work in parallel.

Yes, they both feed the same fitting. The mechanical pump feeds through the banjo fitting, the Walbro feeds right in the end of the banjo bolt.
The banjo bolt is 1/4" NPT tapped, I got it from Glacier Diesel.
Mechanical lift pumps all have a check valve on the outlet, so this will work with a stock pump or a piston pump.
I like this setup because even if one pump fails the other will get me home.

The hose from the Walbro comes in from the lower right corner of the pic.
