Angry elect. problems out the wazoo!!!!!!

i bought the truck (93 w250) a week ago. and sinse then the abs light came on with the brake light. as stated in my other post. then i went to wash the mud off the undercarriage had to pull a friend out. and the water in fuel; light came on but is off now, so that must be common? now my turn signals and wipers dont work grrrrrrr. so back to the point. the previos owner has a jacked up wiring situation. looks like every thing dang near is direct wired to the batt. i know this cause all the wires commin of the batt and my a/c blower still works after truck is off. so does anybody know where i can get a complete wiring harness. think i might start from scratch. what do yall think. also does anybody live near pasadena, texas.

I think you ought to get a factory service manual to help you straighten out the wiring. Geno's Garage has them. http://www.genosgarage.com/

The insulation on the wires on the WIF sensor is probably cracked. Common. Geno's can also hook you up with a new sensor.

My guess on the wiring is that the truck either has a bad ignition switch or a blown fusible link, and the PO just wired around the problem instead of fixing it.

Try removing the water-in-fuel sensor and with your finger, feel around up in the fuel filter for the spring that holds the filter cartridge in place, make sure it's centered so as not to touch the water sensors probes. Happened to me for the first time in 13 years the other day.

Wiring hook-up ??

If short on cash for factory manuel, you might try alldata for $ 25. I have had good results with their drawings. Especially helpful locating wires to make
changes. R C
