Maybe the EGT Fairy brought you a present ;D ;D, can you send him my way , mine would hit 1150-1200 easy, and a few times almost 1300 this past Monday coming home from MS., I did have 4900# in the bed, and was still running 70-75 up hilll, but it rode like a CADILLAC

Re:egt

Did you hit a pot hole and knock some crud out of the air cleaner?

Seriously, ALK has a good suggestion. Another possibiltiy, could something have been binding in the driveline or serpentine system, causing the engine to labor slightly? Lockout hub sticking?

Re:egt

Is that healthy to be hittin egt's that high? I have heard mixed opinions about whether it is ok to go about 1250* or not. Some say its ok if its not for long, others say no way. I know that cummins tests their engines @1250* for some ungodly amount of time, but is it ok to break that like say 1300 or 1400?
Re:egt

Red',

Nope, not even the Russian judge would call that a good thing.... ;D

I have alot more fuel than I'm burning effectively. I need mucho more air... the real downer is, I've found some more juice to feed it to...

1250*F = okey doke..
1350*F = well, alright, but only for a minute..
1500*F = "now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my engine to keep, and if she blows before I brake, I pray the lord, the Ford to take.... ;D
1700*F = Stand by to insitute RFI Maneuver !!!

Gospel according to: "Our Lady of Accelleration Church".. ;D
