i bet if they weren't, you'd be able to have a set made that were better suited for it.

Let us know if your fuel mileage is any different from the PODs to the EDMs, I was thinking of installing EDMs on my work truck.

Noise still there. I'll have another oil analysis done and check the valves for the umpteenth time.

I think they are a little big for towing, especially with a small turbo. I could probably tow in valet mode. It's pretty smoky on the bottom end (think stock injectors with a ground AFC lever or no AFC spring), but I can keep the EGT safe without trying. These are huge injectors. They are 6 holers, and to my eyeball the holes look as big as the ones in the POD's. I don't imagine my fuel economy is going to improve. They do haze at cold idle, but it's not the eye watering stench of the POD's. It's got that burning coal smell of really black smoke.

I will let you know, I'm very interested in that myself. This first tank is going to be awful for obvious reasons. I'll try to control myself next tank.

I have been getting a consistent 14.5 mpg fighting Delaware County traffic with the POD's. Mileage didn't drop when I ground the AFC lever. Stock injectors got me 16 mpg. Highway mileage has been a solid 18.5 mpg regardless of injectors.

You write here of your mileage,, why are you in the 18 at best range,,, I was under the impression, that if we just use the fuel we need to move along at the given speed, that the mileage wont suffer,,,, That is driving empty,
Thanks,,,
Peter.

My truck never got more than 18.5 mpg from the time I got it. Not everybody gets 20 mpg, and there doesn't seem to be any good explanation why.

Awesome! Can't wait for the dyno numbers!!!! I hope you don't need a new clutch soon (ie: Dual Disk) after some more air.

The Con-O is holding... for now. I'm sure I'll have to upgrade it at some point.

More smoke at cold idle, but it smells better. No haze at warm idle, my POD's were doing it a little. With the cut AFC lever, the smoke was not controllable off idle. I have had a lot of practice and can drive the POD's fairly clean, but I couldn't drive these injectors clean with a cut AFC.

Now with a fresh AFC lever it will still leave a good trail as you pull up from a shift unless you are easy on the go pedal, but it's not a traffic hazard. I can't drive it completely clean, but it's not obnoxious IMO. In valet mode (no boost to the AFC) it cleans right up as soon as it gets 10 psi, and EGT's are stupid-proof. It does not clean up at all with full fuel, but that is just due to not enough air for the fuel.

SELL THE BOAT? I WOULD CUT MY LEG OFF FIRST Besides, if I sell the boat I couldn't justify keeping the truck. They are a symbionic relationship like beer and pretzles. However ther is this gun cabinet that is overflowing. Will trade a Colt Defender for a set of EDM's.

I have a solenoid valve in the boost line to the AFC housing. When the power is off, the valve is closed and no boost gets to the AFC. That is "valet mode". When I turn the solenoid on, the AFC operates as normal.
