Dynoed yesterday

I finally did it and was a little disappointed. I was first on the dyno. First run it down shifted but still got a 260/604 second run it down shifted again and got a 258/something third try I rolled into it and got 253/541 I was hoping to get closer to 300. Any suggestions?

Most of the time I wish I had an auto, but when it comes to dyno numbers I love the getrag. lol

Numbers from a dyno mean very little exept for bragging rights, real power numbers come into play when your pulling or running down the track.

I want to dyno my truck but I don't want to ruin my transmission as its my only vehicle right now. I'm sure the 727 could handle it but not risking it until I have a 47rh ready to go in there.

Mattster; If in your sig is all or most of what you have done, no need to worry. You will do more harm just driving everyday.

I doubt the trans is your issue, I know of a few guys who hit 300+ on stock trans/converters and one guy who hit 530 on a built trans/converter (727) That being said, I did pick up 20hp from my converter change. I'd say you could use more injector and maybe crank the fuel screw up more if it doesn't run away. I got 25hp more with just 1/2 a turn with my mods (right at runaway).

Did you get a printout of the torque curve? Last time I ran mine I had 256 hp and 680 tq. It may also be the way it loads at higher rpm on the dyno.

it was a dynojet inertia(weighted drum) dyno.
we had a portable dyno brought to a friends house(2 1/2 acres) for a get together/camp out.
