Re:duuuhhhhh.... what size is my FUEL TANK?

The owner's manual for my 92 (standard cab) states that the fuel tank will hold 30 gals (US) or 113.5 litres. I believe that the fuel tank for the club cab is the same - someone correct me if I am wrong.
--
Al

Re:duuuhhhhh.... what size is my FUEL TANK?

To the best of my knowledge Dodge never made a 25 gallon tank for trucks. My 77 and 78 W200s have 20 gallon tanks and the 82 and 96 have 30 gallon tanks. The pickups and sending units in the tanks are the same, just a little longer tank for the 30 vs 20.

Re:duuuhhhhh.... what size is my FUEL TANK?

When I gave the dealer my VIN # for the interior paint code they said that I have a 25 gallon tank. I don’t know how big it really is. The gauge doesn't seem to accurate so it makes it even harder to determine. The most fuel I have put in is 22gal with the low fuel light on.

Mike
Just for comparison, if I fill up right after my low fuel light comes on, it takes about 24 gallons to refill, and the guage is showing a little less than 1/8.

Re:duuuhhhhh.... what size is my FUEL TANK?

my truck acts just like Jeeper's, cept I usually fill it all the way to the top of the neck, so i get 25gal in. I've always been surprised how accurate the fuel gauge is in my truck, not something I expected having had many a 72-90 dodge b4 this one lol

Re:duuuhhhhh.... what size is my FUEL TANK?

I had exactly the same experience as Old Smoky. Dealer's printout said 25 gallons. Lowest I have ever dared let the level in the tank drop to, was right on the empty mark (at that point I swear could see the gage needle dropping with each mile), and the most I could then put in was 21 gallons. I also have the workshop manual, and that says 30 gallons. So who's right?

John
