dually disk brake conversion

I think I found a kit that will work with 16in wheels.

Hmm..I'm not understanding what they are doing different. The pic is hard to tell what it comes with.. It must use a more offset Rotor or something..

That seems way too expensive for a couple of brackets and rotors, in my opinion.

Those look like a set of rotors off a dana 80.

I see no provisions for emg brakes in that kit. If your state has automotive inspections it won't pass without them.

If all that they are doing to make the kit work for a dually w/ 16" rims is the rotor you could purchase the weld on brakets for $40 and place them where ever you want. I could just not understand what is needed here though.

Is that the round _ circle - part on the upper right corner on their picture??
They also address the e-brake issue, suggesting Caddy Eldorado calipers be used. So, it looks like the bases are covered, but the price is the sore point...

Seems like an awful lot for no calipers.

BTW GM old body 73-87/91 duallys are a D70HD and Dodge duallys are a D70U only difference is the pumpkin has larger bearings, and the 70HD is 35 spline. So these brackets will work, just note u need 17's or larger.

Yes those are the wheel spacers. And an outragous price for not including caddy eldorado calipers to hook up the park brake. There are schematics floating around to get the brakets made. After that all ya need is the hardware, a pair of 30 dollar rotors, calipers, and pads. What 150 bucks?? Other then the wheel spacers which arent very cheap. OR the bigger wheels. I run 19.5's and it'll stay that way so I can clear em without spacers or any of that junk.

weld on brackets only $40 from Virginia 4x4. Its what I used. Whole conversion cost a little under $300. I could have done it even cheaper looking back on it.

SkinnyBTN which truck did you use the $40.00 brackets on? If it was the dually did you use the 16'' wheels? I'd like to convert to disc but I want 16'' rims and not the 17'' or 19.5''.

hmm..just space the wheels out a bit huh?? Well, I guess that is it, cause they are using all the parts I use when I do the SRW kits, I guess I am gonna throw a dually wheel on my SRW to see how much of a spacer is needed, I'll let ya guys know.
