I have seen the chrome rocker stuff in two ways, an adhesive-backed roll that you scissor-trim to fit, and a more rigid made-to-order but still peel-n-stick; all either of them are good for on the exterior is to trap moisture behind and rot out the metal.

You can use the stuff to advantage on the interior, though.

Not trying to knock you but I wouldn't expect someone your age to like the dogdishes.

I'm shooting for the "old man's truck" look with my truck, so I can drive it that way if I want. If I dressed it up too much, I'd probably get too much attention from diesel ricer fanbois.

I have the chrome rocker panel trim on mine seen here.

It was not the roll type, its about 1/16 of an inch thick and pretty tough.

Had it installed at a local shop a few years back. Dont remember the vendor, if your interested I can get you the shops number and they may be able to tell you who they get it from.

Never had any trouble with moisture collection or rust on the body panels, but I do live in a salt free area and the truck was "Ziebart"ed the first 15 years of its life.

i will admit that i didn't like the looks of the dog dishes when i first got this truck, but they look a lot better with bigger tires on them! I have 285s on my truck now and it looks a lot better, I was gonna paint my rims black and put some chrome lug nuts on, but i painted on rim black and held it up to my truck and didn't like it.
