dressing up

Im looking at dressing the truck up this spring with a set of stainless steel rockers. My questions are they worth the money, other then the advantages whats the disadvantage of these things(rusting underneath-rubbing of paint)and mainly dislike (pain in the butt to put on- the tape only lasts a year and they fall off). I have no clue on these things so any help would be appreciated Thank you for your answers in advance. also heres a site http://www.autoanything.com/chrome-a...A3667A0A0.aspx

I think if that's the look you want, they should be fine.

If they have that 3M tape they should stay on forever! Clean the truck and wipe it down with denatured alcohol or ask what a body shop uses to clean the paint. Then make sure the tape is positioned so it leaves no gap where water can sit on the top and freeze or work into the gap. I even add more tape to eliminate the gap so dirt and water don't have a place to hide.

If they are put on properly, I bet they'll never come off. I have some of those on my old Buick that have been there 12 years!
