Door Latches

Hey guys,

My driver's side door lock has ceased to function. Do any of you guys know of any good online stores where these can be purchased at a reasonable price. I checked out the www.dodgeparts.com and the prices they quoted seemed pretty high to me. Any suggestions? Thanks!

not sure if yours is actually dead or not. but mine stopped working so I took some brake clean and sprayed it in threw the door jam side into lock and you should have seen the nasty black crap coming out.. then I used some lithium grease after it was clean and now it works again

just something to try before spending money

Hey,

Thanks for the advice, but I already tried greasing it. I think mine has died!

I don't know if these links will be of any help but they might be worth looking at:

http://ramchargercentral.com/index.p...owtoshow;id=60

and

http://makeitmopar.com for replacement O.E.M. factory parts.

I took mine out, played around with it; the problem is that the spring that pulls the latch down is worn out; there's no way to replace the spring; if you were creative you could graft another spring onto it someplace, but I'd rather not.

So I've decided to make a pilgrimmage to the junkyard and find one out of a Ram Van that works... Or maybe two that work.
