Door Hinges

My driver door is sagging real bad. Are there new hinges/hinge pins you can get to fix it?

you can buy a bushing kit at most any parts stores like a napa or autozone probably. i bought one at napa for about $5. can't recall if the kit had new pins or if it only had the brass bushings in it.

Just got two kits from the local Advance Auto and did both doors. They included the pins and bushings. Very easy to do.

I never had any luck with the repair kis. The hinges are still available through Mopar. I believe. I bought 2 new ones to have spares about 2 yrs ago.

i fixed my pins and bushings... in a week they were junk again because the holes in the hinges were egg shaped. check for the shape of the holes. if they are good then you probably can get away with pins and bushings.

Take a look at the door skin also. The skin is very light and the backing plate for the hinge is small and can pull through the thin skin. I had to back up my hinge with a bigger plate then weld the skin where the small plate was pulling through

That is still not a bad price to pay for a smooth closing door.

no, there should be access to it from inside. It can be a pain to get to but it is possible.

I don think you need to remove the dash but it wont be much fun. Also a few months back I rebuilt my hinges with parts from ebay and they are working fine so far.

To take the hinges off mine, I would have to take the dash apart.
