Done with the DRONE

I have a stock exhaust going to a 5" miter level with the top of the cab. i like the sound, but hate the drone. That said i would a muffler or a resonator help this situation better.

The muffler or resonator should help. Have you tried moving the stack an inch or two above the cab? Get the sound out away from the cab...

i put a resonater on my truck and it cut the drone out but is still nice and loud. i made it myself by just welding in a secton of pipe a few inches bigger diameter than the exhaust pipe.

The higher the pipe, the less noise in the truck. Thats why I chose turnouts and had them 6 to 8 inches above the cab.
