my 90 1/2 ton gasser i just got rid of used to have rwal. i seemed to have lost it somewhere along the way. pedal feel was much better without it, just like my old 91.0 d250 and the 92 d350 i just got.

Have it, and it works fairly well, especially when I am running empty.

Mine worked untill I did a rear brake job this fall. I think the light is on but I have a gauge or 2 in the way of the message center so I can't see the idiot lights. I consider myself a step above idiot so that's ok. Probly need to reset the RWAL box in the dash......

Mine doesn't work, there seems to be air trapped in the rear brakes somewhere that I can't bleed out(everything from the ABS module back is new) and the drums don't stay adjusted anyway(again, new stuff), so, I just unplugged the computer... Maybe after I go to rear discs I will try and make it work again.

Mine works... Usually each fall/winter there is a parking lot with some ice on it where I like to lock it up to see if it is still cycling. Occassionally in the summer with a fresh light rain I might overbrake some to kick the ABS on.

I recently replaced my vacumn assist booster and master cylinder (the Master I replaced last year was leaking from the lid and dripped everywhere...)

When I finished doing the bench bleed on the master, I then bled the ABS, RR, LR, RF, LF.

I made sure that I ran lots of fluid through the system. The ABS reservoir expelled the worst looking fluid - black to dark gray... It was bad. I bled the system until the fluid was clear. Each wheel had some old fluid in it. I used a couple quarts all told of fluid.

I thought my brakes were ok before. I don't drive fast and don't brake hard so I really never thought more about it. After doing these repairs I found that the truck has power brakes... Now they do not stop on a dime, as our brakes are not the best stoppers around. I am happier though.

Ive never had my rear wheels lock up from hard breaking. Ive had the front, usually the front driver side, lock up but the rear never...so I guess it works.

I think mine is working. Had the issue of the lights lit on the dash. I unplugged the unit for 30 seconds, plugged it back in and the lights went out. They do still ocassionally come on. Is it working properly...?????????

My ABS works. These trucks are so weight biased to the front that they are somewhat dangerous without ABS. The back will lock up long before you are getting max braking from the front.

You guys are making my truck sound dangerous. If I thought it was dangerous I would have installed an adjustable proportioning valve... When I do panic braking (which i never do) it hauls down hard. Maybe its because I have the logger box and dual rear wheels?
