Has anyone else noticed any cracks on his or her grilles it this immediate vicinity?

I am thinking it is caused from the harsh ride of the suspension, so now I have an extra nice new factory grille sitting in my garage.

On the grille that was on my truck when I got it both tabs were broken like that, new one has one crack in same spot.

They all crack there. I think the best thing to do is to not tighten the screws all the way so the grille can float.

Yea they all crack RIGHT BELOW the hood release lever under the hood. like directly under it... me and my dad have only seen one grille that was not cracked there and we got it out a junkyard and we sold it to wannadiesel. ^^^^^^ [cool]

My current grill (original one) has all the cracks and problems that everyone speaks of. Some of the mounting tabs are busted in half and the chrome is peeling from the face where the D-O-D-G-E letters are. In a sense......I kinda think these grills are flimsy and are highly prone to damage. I can see where a person leaning on the front of the grill while working under the hood can break stuff.

Yup. The old design was a lot tougher.
