I wish I could just tee them cause it would make life easy but the oil would just traverse as opposed to drain....IM not looking forward to dropping the pan.

 

Please tell me your doing all that nice work and it's NOT a Phram "split at the seams and dump oil on the ground when you least expect it" filter behind there.

I'd like to hear it run with the short down turned pipe shown in the pics. But it might throw a little bit of heat out onto the firewall. It might really become a wall of fire.

I guess it's a good thing that my truck is leaking water and oil like the Titanic, because looking at your setup makes me feel kinda weird in my special place.

 

Wish I could say that I have gotten more done, but Im waiting to get my cold pipe back from the powder coaters. After a lengthy discussion with Fred Swanson I decided to run an external wastegate. Im choosing this option because it should be a little more tuner friendly...but more fabrication. I had some flanges cut, as well as copper gaskets to make a spacer to go between the manifold and turbo...should be fun! Man, I have to say that the Tial 38mm wastegate is a lot bigger than I expected. Its a sweet product though.

Too much pipe? I welded my flanges together (off the back of the HX35 to the edge of the B3 then 3"id 90* cut in the corner) Turned out sweet! If I can get my lovely wife to quit picking on me for working on the heap all the time, maybe she'll show me how to post pictures with her digi cam.

Oh, and I brazed a "T" together to allow greater fall!

 

Are you gunna let that external gate dump into the atmosphere or are you going to plumb it back into the exhaust??

It sure would sound good with a small pipe off of the gate straight down to the ground!!!

 

Im going to plumb it back into the exhaust...I need all I can to spin that bht3b.

 

Ahhhhh, finally back from powdercoating. Now I can get back to work.

just fill the engine with alot of oil and above the pan rail and drill a hole in the pan the oil pushes the metal shavings back out so the dont go inside. if some do just dump more oil through the motor and your all good.
