Sounds messy but it might just work.

What Ive seen work pretty good was just not drilling at all. They took an air chisel and ground the blunt end to a sharp point and pushed a hole in the pan. Then just used a couple larger punches after another to enlarge the hole. After that they greased up a large tap real good and tapped the hole and screwed in a fitting.

it worked pretty good but ya your are right on the chisel part that does work pretty good, i just thought i would throw somethin else out there, and you would put a bucket under the pan to catch the oil of coarse.

Interesting.. My biggest issue is plumbing in the external waste gate... Its going to push things out towards the fender with the adapter spacer, and I want to avoid that....grrr. I want things the way I want with no compromise!

The downpipe/firewall clearance is one of the biggest pains in building turbos for a first gen! Mine is so tight (even after cutting) that it will rattle when I'm on the throttle in reverse.

Well this is one of the final mockups. Ive got the wastegate plumbed in, kinda tight but I think it will work. Now to collect all of the last minute bits in pieces before it goes in.

The engine mount isnt going to be a factor, the mount itself falls below and forward 6" the twin setup. My main concern is if the 45 degree rubber intake adapter will clear the oil filter. I need to order it I guess.

get a bypass oil setup like amsoil and mount it were the old intake was at it makes a huge difference in changing filters and room for the primary.

Nice looking setup. That's the drawback to the 3b. It is long and heavy. One of the smaller S400's can be held in place with 1 hand and is short enough to clear the firewall without mods. Save money on the turbo, spend extra time on the install. It's one of those things that makes you glad you did it yourself, but happy it's over.
