Dead in the water, or snow, in KC

Stuck in KC with dead truck!
11d F this morning, grid heaters cycled, she fired up. Idled for a minute, pulled out of the parking space, got about 30 feet and she died.
Would turn over but not restart.... I m thinking she is gelled up, but any other thoughts?
Got some PowerService diesel911, gonna pull the fuel filter off drain it and fill it with the 911, then pour the rest in the tank....
But wouldn't ya know it, we got a blizzard coming in tonight, snow all day tomorrow and I got to drive home Friday.....
This stinks

If you would have put 8 oz of DS white bottle in the last tank of fuel, you'd not have a problem.

Every time my son visits me here in Minnesnowta from the relatively balmy Montana, his filter is dirty, his fuel is untreated, and he gels up. Maybe it's on purpose. He likes his mom's cooking.

Chris...That PowerService 911 should solve any gelling problem.. 3 years ago,Like a idiot..I was running 50% bio in -35 C...I stalled on the side of the road...I dumped a litre of 911...and with luck my truck started...

I filled my entire filter with 911, doesn't make sense that the truck was running fine though. Usually if the fuel is gelled.. it's gelled.

I have had my old '89 plow truck truck fire up and run for a minute or so then stall, not to start again till the gelled filter was fixed.
I used Diesel 911 in a new filter, some more in the tank, a little priming, and she fired right up.
I think if the fuel is just starting to gel it clogs the filter quickly, but the truck will still fire up and run until it totally clogs the filter with gelled fuel.

It's been my experience and also mr. Martins that it will idle fine but wont pull or push (however you want to say it) enough fuel through the filter above idle. If the filter has a few miles on it it has crap in it you might not be able to see it but its there. ALWAYS carry a spare filter and wrench with you along with a full bottle of power service or whatever brand you like fill up the new filter and put the rest in the tank. I dont trust anybodys fuel if its under 20 i put additive in. It's relativley cheap and never been gelled up. Also if you see a cold snap coming put it in a day or 2 ahead to make sure it gets mixed in the tank well if you dont drive many miles. Doesnt do much good if it doesnt get mixed well

That's the weird thing...I didn't take the filter off,I just dumped a quart of 911 in tank and prayed like heck...I must of got really lucky...It cranked and cranked and fired up..A ran to the nearest town to fuel up diesel.

The only difference Chris...I was running 50% winter fuel with 50% bio..Maybe the winter fuel helped..Also my tank was half full..So it was a lot of 911 for half a tank..

Hope you get it running...

Your right Chris...If it is't one thing it's another...But if you had a new truck, just think what brain damage the truck would get with weak battaries....

Hope the beast fires up for you...
