Dash lights out, all gauges still work

While driving this morning (still pitch out) My dash lights just went out, the heater controll light still operational, and all the gauges still work,
Fuses look good, Could this be the time for a new headlight switch???
Everything else seems to still operate properly, switch turns on dome/running and head lights
Peter.

Tried to turn,,, Looking for the "flicker" Nothing, Just sleeping lights,, Where does one order a new headlight switch? NAPA?
Is the headlight switch the same as gassers? And what years? Have about 30 at a local wrecking yard,,, I would guess at 2.00 each,
Can call NAPA tomorrow, But with impending rain storm with 50 mph winds, will not be a good saturday at the yard,
Peter.

Walk into NAPA with about $8, walk out with a switch. Don't mess with a used one.

Try smacking the top of the dash as hard as you can. I have to do this about once a week...the multi-pin connectors that plug into the back of the gauge cluster tend to get flakey solders after so much rattle-rattle

If you lost your taillights at the same time, look in the cigarette lighter for a dime. Then replace the fuse.
