Dana 70 shaft spline count?
Truck is a 92 w250, for the life of me I can not remember the spline count on the shafts. Need to order new spider gears as they have a lot of wear on them. I have been putting it off for quite a while, Really don't want to pull a shaft just to count the splines before I order them if I don't have to.
I see options for 32 and 35 spline. Does anyone know which one the 92's are, or could it be either one and my only recourse is to pull a shaft?
Thanks

If in doubt, pull axleshafts and count them, not too hard.
Both 32 and 35 Spline came in the trucks 1989-1993, and 'usually' if there are bolts bolting the shaft to the hub, it is a 32 spline, and if you have studs with acorn/wedge lock washers and nuts, it is a 35 spline. And all D71 3.07 that I've seen are 35 spline.
that said, I have a D70 3:55 from a 1991.0 D250 that has 35 splines. (studs in hub)

I wasn't sure if there was a "standard" if you will, as to what years had which. Or if it was just a random assembly.
I will probably pull a shaft tomorrow as it will be warmer then. It's hard to get motivated when it's cold outside.
