OK, so i have looked on DTR and other resources. I get 2 different counts on the axle spline count. What is correct???
One says 32 spline other says 35 spline, I know I should just go pull one of my axles and count them. But someone knows already so I dont have to clean gear oil off the tire. Thanks.

 

Probably going to have to count them, I had the same question on my 95 and had two different answers so I finally just checked it myself. Mine are 32 spline, by the way.

That's what I was told before, but for some reason mine are 32. Not sure why.

 

Guys, on 2nd gens, they could have come either way. On a 2nd gen D70, the ONLY way to be 100% certain is to yank the shaft and count them yourself. My 94 had 35 splines and other 2nd gens I have come across had 32 splines. For the 5 minutes it takes to be certain, it is more than worth it.

 

I knew that was going to be the answer. Guess i will have to pull it and check. Oh well got a 35 count traction lok on the way, have to cross my fingers they will match.

 

FYI , i counted mine yesterday , and it was 32 spline.
