Cummins Conversion Progress(Pics)

Just a few pics to show progress.

Here's the project truck with the 440 + torqueflite that are coming out:

Here's the Cummins w/ auto trans still attached out of the donor truck. Quite an accomplishment in itself:

The auto trans is getting replaced by an NV4500 manual trans.
The 1st Gen donor truck with it's heart torn out:

I'll have more pics saturday night.

Thanks. It is the very black truck in my Gallery. I'm thinking I'll install powerful backup lights in the holes in the rear valence where the exhaust tips used to be.

I'm surprised that you already have an insulation cover over your heater assembly -- I thought that was a diesel only option. Guess I was wrong.

Good luck with the conversion!

Looks like fun! Glad to see they took the easy way out and pulled the front clip, it'll save time in the end. Hey Alec, read the photo captions again and all will be clear.

I love that truck.
I found a white dually 2WD really clean but they want 10K for it with a gasser. Just too much money.
Good luck, keep us posted
