cruz doa

my cruz dont work any one went threw the wiring and made notes yet? its not the fuse and i checked the vac lines and pump too steering wiring i would guess???

There's a brass ring under your steering wheel if I remember right. Once the contacts go bad(aka the ring) you have no cruise. Someone can back me up and elaborate on this one.

I would say the truck is broken in the engine is just getting there though. When my cruise woulnd't work it was the switches on the steering wheel, i got some new ones from the dealer and it worked. I think they cost me around $50.

Is that what the button is for? and I have been using a brick on the pedal.... actually I have had the same problem in other vehicles and it was that little switch on the steering wheel....

I posted basically the same message only my on/off switch cover came off. I ordered the part from my local dodge dealer and the next day it was here. Cost me $47.54 and that came with both switches for each side tied into one outlet. Since I didnt think I had the time to pull it all apart and put it back together I decided to have their service dept install it. $45.00 and 40 minutes later I was out of there and back on the road with cruise after almost a year of a sore leg! Go buy the part and put it in!

ok i tested the switches all ok there and pulled the steering wheeland checked the plate there all ok there next??
