And today I got the tranny mount in...mostly. I had hoped that at least a couple of the existing holes would line up with the bracket....nope. So will have to drill all 12 of them.

I still need to get the upper brackets in, and then those 6 holes drilled.

I'm envious T.C. I get all giddy when you update this thread like some old
lady watching her favorite soapy. I just can't wait for the next episode.
It's looking awesome man, can't wait to see it finished. Please don't sell your computer to help pay for the paint job.lol.

Probably a similar product. I've been using the flat black rust inhibiting paint from Princess auto. Just rattle cans.

Hey TC,

What's the gameplan for 2014 ?

Do you have the work needed to complete in a schedule form ? Expect it to be finished and crusing around by a certain date ?

Since the sunday car shows are basically non existent here, I figured I ask.

...but that's all I got.

I have been working on a few things as I find the time. As the above updates mentioned, I got the lower portion of the tranny mount/cross member in. Yesterday I got the rest of the holes drilled for the upper portions.

Drilling upwards, inside the frame rails $UCK$!! I had to cut down one of my big drills to fit...and the fact that I have no real idea how to sharpen it properly afterwards caused me all kinds of grief. I eventually got them all drilled, and the rest of the supports bolted in.

I also order the carpet kit for the crewcab....in 877 Dove Grey. I bought it through a local Hot rod shop...so if there is any issue with the carpet I can return it. I will pay a little more for it...but worth it for the warranty.

haha, drilling the frame sucks period. Actually the weather where I live has been awful to do any sort of painting or laying in the driveway on card board.

WIND CHILL READINGS... 20 TO 30 BELOW DUE TO TEMPERATURES 13 BELOW TO 2 ABOVE ZERO... AND
WINDS NORTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

They are telling everyone to stay inside but I was ice fishing that day.

You are on the home stretch now. At least on this round.
By time you get to the body work it will be a nice change from the mechanical stuff.

Hey I have to learn some how....I tried following your diagrams...but things just never looked right....or functioned correctly.

So I now have a good knowledge base on what NOT to do...
