Easiest way to do the roll pin in the forks is to start the roll pin in the fork first. Then get them in place and slide the shaft through. Get your gears and clusters installed. Then use a small piece of wire, coat hanger works well, down the center of the roll pin to line up with the hole in the shift rail. Once it's all basically lined up remove the wire and then gently start tapping it into place. Was not that difficult....little trial and error, but not too bad.
