Sorry you are having trouble with yours. If you purchased a set of the un-polished CoolerTubz they have some type of oil on them from the mandrel bending process which is hard to get off and which if left on may not allow the paint a good grip on the stainless. Also if you live in the rust belt salt spray can get through the paint. I have had customers powder coat them with great results. Yes these are 409 stainless which will rust if left unprotected, I use a metal polish on mine every 2 - 3 months with great success.
