Not sure if the head on your motor is taller than a 12 valve or not. Or what motor you have. But it does sit up taller on the firewall than my w350 12 valve. Couple things I noticed, not sure if it matters but...I see you have flipped the block mount castings from side to side as evidenced by the starter wire keeper. Also compared to my truck you have the pass side rubber mount upside down and backwards. My driver side bracket is #4429079 which seems to sequentially match the # of your pass side. I took a measurement and the block oil pan rail is about 1/4" below the frame at pass side front of crossmember. Maybe flip some stuff around and see if you can get it to drop into the bottom of the slots in the crossmember. That's where mines at and my truck is all original. Here's a couple pics of mine.

On my 1990 these parts are definitely different length. the passenger side is shorter.

Just went out and got a measurement from oil pan rail on block to bottom bolt center block bracket looks to be 3.5".

Op what engine is that? Maybe compare some measurements to mine....what are you seeing?

We cut the motor mounts and lowered the engine. It lines up now but oil pan hits cross member. Think we need to pull cross member and modify it so that the engine clears.

Sounds like something that would happen to me. I always seem to have the one oddball thing happen that nobody has even heard of.

Sucks that things didn't just drop in and line up perfectly. Hope all this extra work sorts things out for you.
