Communicating with other 1st gen owners...
I am not trying to push any web services, but I installed this on my computer and I was just thinking that we could use it on the forum. It is a program called skype and would allow us to talk to each other for free when we have a problem or just want to say Hi. I know theres been a few times it would have helped to speak with a member. Anyway the site is http://www.skype.com . Take a look and see what you think. Again I have no vested interest in this site other than the fact that I use it and it is great. It appears to be best on broadband but should work on dial up.
I know this is probably in the wrong place and I apologize and request that a mod move it to the right place.

sounds like a good plan cause it is easier to talk to someone and have a conversation about a problem than typin it in, typin it in works too cause it has helped me , this forum is AWESOME and i don't know what id do without it!!!

I agree. I had no intension of taking away from this great forum. My only thought was to have another alternative to a PM, or get a better understanding of a question possibly. Also it would work well when one of our members has something in the classifieds. I can however see where it would be a problem if it was used to respond with answers to posted questions instead of sharing the answers with the group.

My sister moved to Australia this spring and I have been able to keep in touch with her using Skype. My Daughter loves to use the webcam. I would be interested in doing this.
