coil spring opinions needed

Hello, I need to replace the coil springs in my 93. I've done a little searching and read the moog 7226 and 7226s are the ones to get. My ? is how bad/stiff is the ride with the 7226s? I don't want a terrible ride but I don't want to replace the springs in another year either. So please let me know what you guys would recommend for replacement springs. Thanks

I think there's a set of those Moog's for sale for $100 in the classifieds right now.

I don't recall which one is the heavier duty, I think its the "S" but either way, I replaced mine about 2 years ago with the heavier duty and the ride is stiff, but not horrible. The ones I took off were shot and sagged terribly, and thats the main reason I changed them out. It did not really change the ride that much to me.

You want the S. Someone on CF said you can find them for around $60 on Amazon when on sale.

I too was in your dilemma a few months ago. I opted for the 7226S springs. My main reasoning behind this is so that as they get older they will not sag so bad. Hoping maybe the stiffer coils would last longer. I am very pleased with them. My old ones were sagging badly and I gained a good 3 inches of height. In the past few months it has settled in about 1/2 inch or so. Sits very level now. These springs ride worlds better than my factory ones. So the ride may be better with the 7226 vs 7226S, but either way its a way better ride than stock. The springs are stiffer but they have much more travel and use that travel. On the same speed bumps it feels like a stiffer spring than stock but they move much more and make the ride feel much better. Before it would hit the bump stops on almost anything. Now its got some room to flex. Hope this helps.
