Cheap Clutch

ditto Wanna diesel
The Cast iron pressure plate looks to be an imitation of the sach's oem clutch, custom engineered for our application that is bombproof at near stock power levels. The sachs OEM friction plate pads are made by raybestos. You sould ask him a few questions and see what he says, what materials, etc... I'm sure this is a quality unit in design being that it is a copy, however manufacturing may or may not be up to snuff. I wonder where it was made? Perhaps they bought some old dies for this clutch and made their own? I bought my sachs clutch brand new for just over 400 on ebay.

They've been on eBay almost a year and claim to be clutch manufacturers for heavy duty applications. The thing that bothered me is they are advertising some other HD clutches for 89-2003 CTDs. I understand maybe you could put a 12.5 clutch on a 13" flywheel, not that it would be a great idea, but makes me wonder about them...
