Updating to a newer steering column????

I got a tilt column out 93 d250 gasser and want to put it in my truck. Now my question is how hard is it going to be for me to wire up. The new column has cruise and my truck does not which one day I hope to install but not now. Unfortunately for me someone tried to remove it and cut the wires down at the base close to the firewall, is there a plug under the plastic somewhere that I can tap into or am I going to have to cut and splice the wires from my existing column. Thanks in advance for your input.

Take the cladding off, you will see the plug up near the tilt hinge.

You do know that the 89-90 columns are different from 91-93 columns right ryan?

Yes that is why I am changing it. I want to have the column that will accept the "column mount" guage pod.
