I have included a picture of my 1993 Dodge Ram. The color is a red/silver 2-tone paint scheme. I would like to know what the exact colors are called for the red and silver paint. I plan to have a canopy color-matched and would like to know what color to find. Hopefully someone has a factory color chart or something to reference with.

 

A reputable paint store should be able to color match and they usually have factory color guides... I dont know if running the vin by chrysler would turn anything up

 

I have the same color scheme.

It's called Colorado Red and Sabre Gray Metallic.I got that off the original window sticker.

According to a dealer Options Report,The paint order code is 6CA.

Most likey colors are Flame Red clear coat PR4

The silver is most likely Silver Star metallic 6CT

I wonder if your silver has been repainted. The color it looks in that pic is not shown as being used in Ram trucks for that year. It was used on the Ram 50's. The two silvers for the Rams were Light Sand metallic and Sabre Grey Metallic. Sabre Grey is about 5 shades darker than your silver.

Hutch and Philip you both are actually correct on the red. In 1992 its called colorado red, and in 93 its called Flame red. But its the exact same paint code! The center is called sabre grey metalic in both yrs!

 

By the orginal paint chips for 93 from Dodge. There is a shade or two difference between the two red paint colors.

In 93 the colorado red was listed for Dakota's only.

I can't speak on 92's. My dealer build book is for a 93.

The easiest way to find out for sure is call a parts store that mixxes paint. In my case its NAPA. The will have you look at the metal plate thats on the passengers side firewall above the heater motor. They will have you count down X number of lines and there will be the primary and secondary paint codes.

I have dealer brochures for 1991's, 92's, and 93's. There was only 2 reds ever available. One was this color and the other is a copper metalic that was available in 1992-93.
