Bumping timing questions
I read wannadiesels sticky.
1) What is "AFC housing" ?
2) Loosen three bolts and rotate towards head , Thats it?
3) Doing this lowers egt's, reduces smoke, gives better mileage and HP ?
4) Are there negatives to doing this?

What is rated RPM (as described in the link) ?

Rated RPM is the RPM where the engine is designed to develop peak HP.
For a truck with stock injectors, an 1/8" (measured at the match marks on the pump and timing case) works well. With big injectors, shoving it to the head works pretty well.
