Building a 1985/1990 4x4 CTD Crew Cab Long bed
Haha! Thankfully I live on the countryside and our country really lacks the real metropolies... Helsinki (our capital city) is pretty much pure hell with a truck this long since there is bus and taxi lanes plus those freaking San Francisco style city trains...
.
Our Semis(cab overs) in here have much smaller turning radius than these 4x4 trucks even when they are the full 40ft long+ 45 ft trailer attached. But the gcvwr is one of the highest in the world in here. 76 metric tons. (167 k pounds) so we have at least some slack in here for bigger vehicles.
Thanks!
I kind of like the NON-AC simplicity of these dashboards. They are pretty clean looking dashes as well. I figured that since I had all the electrical gremlins sorted out from the W-250 I am using as an wiring+dash, axle and engine donor I want to use this dash as well. The Crew's original Porspector level AC dash was so gutted and some AC parts missing so I didn't want to use it. I can allways go for brand new vintage AC when I want to. I am planning a Webasto based extra heater core on the back department when it gets really cold in here. Not sure if the 1st gen heater core can keep this thing warm enough, even tho the reg cab was nice and warm.

Thanks!
I have few nice ideas left when it comes to the exterior styling.
It's going to have awesome graphics(but not over the top) when it's done. Otherwise completly blacked out huge old pick-up without a lot of chrome would be too toned down
Ideas and opinions are welcomed for regarding this build!

Other than fabrication of your own, where are you finding parts for this truck? Parts are difficult at best to find here in NJ, they must be non existent there, in Finland
Oh yeah, well I have pretty good knowledge where to get parts.
Rockauto is number one for regular spare parts.
Then it's just Ebay,LMC,Summit and of course you, First Gen groups all over the internet, Facebook ETC.
For an example I bought my roof clearance markers from some dude in the middle of Kentucky, he didn't have Paypal and didn't accept wire transfer, only postal money order(really handy from outside of the USA) or cash. Welllll..... I contacted on of my friend in Texas and he mailed 48 usd in cash to him
Got them pretty cheap.
Also complete cars and heavier parts ain't no problem for me. I got the whole USA covered. I can get trucks, vehicles, anything shipped easily to my corpration yard in a container.
Please check out my businesses Facebook pages so you can see few of the vehicles I have imported from USA and of course, please hit the like the page button
