brake rotor problem

Here is my problem.
Went to parts store today to get brake rotors for my truck. There were several listed so they looked them up by casting number. The rotors looked like a perfect fit, untill i got first one off & went to put wheel studs back. The mounting holes are about 1/16 inch to small.
After some research, I figured out that they gave me rotors for a duallie.
They had one rotor & had to order the other.

Knowing what a pain they seem to be to get & all dimensions match my old rotors except the mounting holes. What would you guys do??
I am inclined to grind out the holes & use them since they are a perfect match in every other way.

I think you should go back and swap them out for the right ones.

I wouldn't grind them. Drill them to the proper size. If you don't have the tools to do it properly, wait for the right ones to show up. No sense messing up stuff because you are in a hurry.

Actually took the one i have back for checking, it was boxed wrong.
They are checking to see if they can find me another right now.
Otherwise i'll either have to wait for it or drill it.
& I hate to have to leave the truck apart half way inside my garage.

Actually, it was Auto Value & it was a Wagner rotor.
The guys at the parts store have since even went as far as to call Wagner to check specs. It seems that that is the closest rotor available & i am gonna have to drill it & use it. The rotor the Wagner guys come up with is completely wrong for the truc, this rotor is what the numbers on rotor I took off crossed to & is actually listed as a 1 ton duallie.

As I remember the correct rotor is a one ton. you need the extra thickness because of the diesel weight.

I can remember looking up parts for these trucks back when I sold auto parts. As I remember the brakes front and back are a crap shoot at looking up application and having them actually fit.

The casting # is on the hub, not the rotor.

The rotor listed is not right. Use a rotor for a 1 ton Duallie & drill out the mounting holes to 11/16. They are 9/16 on the 1 ton rotor. BTW . .looking up the hub casting will not get you the right rotor.

At least that is what the people at the company that makes them told the guys at the parts store to do & it appears that is what was done on mine in the past.

The part numbers on my rotor boxes are 60597 & BR5564. The parts book will list them as 5/8 holes, they are 1/2 & the ones the casting numbers on mine crossed over too. These rotors are listed as fitting several 3/4 & 1 ton Chevys also.
