Boost gauge intake???where???

Boost gauge intake???where???

I have a new boost gauge, and dont know if i should drill a hole into the intake, OR I saw in a post with a pic, is there somewhere i can thread a barbed fitting into the intake somewhere on the side of the engine near the VE pump???

Dont drill. There is a plug in the side of the intake behind the ve. You have to look close, but it is there. pull the plug, and thread in the 1/8 inch fitting.

If you have a non-intercooled truck, you'll have to remove the throttle mounting bracket to access the 1/8" pipe plug on the side of the head. Then drill a hole in the mounting plate to run the boost tubing through.

I didn't remove mine!!
I just (cairfully) drill a 1/2 hole in the plate and then remove the plug and added a pees of hose on to the fitting to start the threads and then renched the rest of the way

It would look like the picture of begle's non-externally lubricated truck.
