Boom Mat

Well I'm into the interior of my truck. I pulled out carpet and some old foam material. The foam was really moist and I'm glad I didn't leave that like that into winter. So I'm looking to do this right, is boom mat the way to go? I'm thinking about spraying por-15 chasis inside of there and then laying some type of insulation material to drive the moisture out.

Matt..... I have been wanting to take my
Carpet out and have it bed lined.....but I worry about my floor not being insulated by carpet and getting hot......does yours get hot without the carpet?

Are you saying spray it with power liner and then put carpet in? I was thinking about doing that and maybe using a marine carpet so the floor isn't so hard.

There is alot less heat in my truck now from what Ive seen.

I sprayed my truck in rhino liner

Its alot quieter too which is nice. I did put the carpet back over the bedliner.

In the next month or so I will pull the bed and spray the back of the cab. Havent decided what I wanna spray yet tho. Kinda impatient on letting rhino dry.

Better address the water problem before putting the new stuff in.

Check for cowl-cracks and the common problem these have of water leaking in around the kick-plate vents.

There are "stickies" on both.

Yeah I took care of that part hehe. The stuff just holds the moisture really well honestly. It's been four days of 90 plus heat and the inside of the truck was hot as hell. When I took the bench out I couldn't believe it was like that. I wont be putting it back in! I do like that rhino lining though...hmm, anyone use POr-15 powr liner?

Id put something in there that u can put on thick. I sprayed 4 gallons or so of product in my truck.

It still get hot I seen today- not as bad tho. The transmission makes to much heat. Even with 3 coolers....
