Angry blowing fueses!!!! no lights

hello,
my 93 truck keeps blowin the fuse for the running lights the horn and the dash lights, idk what the problem could be, i know my headlight switch was gettin hot because i could smell wires so i replaced that and there is a green wire that runs into the headlight switch that my mechanic friends says could be my problem, and he also thinks it could be a wire grounding somehwere... im not sure all i know is i need the old beater to go down the road at night legally, so any suggestions or tips ya'll could offer me would be greatly appericated.
thanks, cody

Check the harness as it exits the tail light housing and make sure the wires are intact, shielded and not chaffing against the body anywhere.

check all the connections on your running lights. Especially if you have extra lights like me, they can be a real pain.
