Blower motor SURGES
Jim
If you already replaced the blower motor then it must be in one of the connections,
Drop down your fuse panel and have a look at Fuse #1 it is a 30-amp Fuse and see if it is melted,

then turn it around and check the wiring side, also check the condition of the connector at the blower motor itself.
How many volts do you have at the blower motor on High?

The blower circuit is a known weak link in the truck wiring, and will eventually melt the wiring under your steering column and destroy your ignition switch causing you countless hours of frustration.
Here is the wiring diagram.

The fix.
