Question BHAF Mount

Sorry if this has been covered before.

I have the template and and going to get this thing fabbed mounted up on the weekend.
I have one question though, the three mounting points to the body/fender. It looks like, from pictures, I won't be able to get nuts on the back unless I have three elbows. Will I be able to or do I need some kind of nut clip or whatever those clips are called??

Thanks!!

Corey

I thought of that but then I think taking it on and off to service the filter would mung the threads up. I might do this if I can't figure out something better. I thought I'd ask in case someone had an ingenious solution.

Thanks! Have a great day!!

well if you can weld aluminum and got an aluminum nut you could weld some nuts on the bottom side. Or even thread the holes in the mount, probably wouldn't want to tighten them very much though.

Or if the holes are close to an edge there are some clip type deals that have threads in one side, you can find them at any auto parts store, they are typically used to hold like bumper covers on, etc...

I got 'em on and I don't have 3 elbows - or even skinny arms. It's not that hard.

You can't use clips because the lip at the top is in the way.

I used a couple of 1/4*20 nut-serts in the mount.
