Firstgenman, Pricing on the BHAF varies depending on your location and suppliers. I choose to get the Fleetguard from Cummins but NAPA and any number of other autoparts or farm supply stores may have better prices in your area.

My understanding is that the Old Smokey mount is named for the member (Old Smokey) who designed it. He used to produce and sell them but my understanding is that now you pretty much have to fab your own or buy one from a member who bought enough material for several and is selling the extras. You might check the classifieds. There was one on there several weeks ago but I haven't checked recently. I believe that the template for the Old Smokey mount has been posted in several threads so you can probably find that if you do a search on BHAF and template.

If you do a search on BHAF you'll get lots of information and ideas including all the different part numbers for the different manufacturers. I personally like to use the Outerwears cover on mine to keep the big chunks out and extend it's life. You might look at the thread I posted several weeks ago about the life of a BHAF. That thread also shows pictures of the Old Smokey mount and the Outerwears.

Hope that this helps.

Check for a place that carries Fram truck and equipment filters. i used the cross reference from the the Tech facts section, and my price walk in off the street was 21.99. I think thats the cheapest I found anywhere, and it looks just like the others. But thats the only...only Fram product I will use
