Talking Best Tank Ever!

Well I just filled the tank this morning and I have to say it was the best tank I have ever had while owning this truck 4 1/2 years. I started out filling up about 200 miles from home, towing about 8k through the hills, and she never complained. I usually get about 3-4 weeks out of a tank, driving to work and school, still got 2 1/2 weeks out of this tank. Last weekend I dynoed the truck on this tank and put down some very solid stock numbers 158hp, 408tq on a dynojet. I could not believe that I musterd a 562 miles on the tank and it only took 26.4 gallons at $2.15 a gallon. After all those 4:10's, and a 5speed are terrible on the hyway.

Anyway I thought I would share, a personal record 21.3mpg-

I'm lucky if I get 300-320 miles on a tank right now... it's pretty frustrating to be honest.

I have the same problem but my truck has only been driven with my plow on it for the past three months. So I guess I make more money then what it cost to drive.

Winter fuel up here sucks. I'm only getting about 13-14 mpg right now. I envy you guys in TX and AZ. Warm and flat.

Mine will get about the same in warm weather. Had 21.75 quite a few times but never could break 22. Helps that I'm a flatlander from the midwest.

i average about 375 to 400 until the fuel light comes on, then i drag it out to maybe 450 and fill it up. My best highway was 22 with a nice tailwind.

that's exactly what i get with the blade down. I am hopping it gets better once the trans is in better shape.

around here $50 bucks is about the cost for one driveway so its worth it
