best product to make plastic moulding...

Hello, is there anything out there that will make the black plastic moulding that seperates the top and bottom colors look good again? I have tried a few different things with no luck. Have you tried anything that works good? Thanks

What have you tried? I used plastic-bumper specific spray paint on the faded front bumper of our grand cherokee. I only did one coat and it's looking good two months and several washes/rain storms/sunny days later. Might be worth a shot.

Hello, so far I tried some zaino polish and black magic rubber protectant. I really wanted to stay away from painting the moulding but it looks like thats what I might have to do. The black magic worked great for about a day. Then once it dried or washed off it was back to looking faded. Thanks again

I was hesitant as well..it just seemed so, I don't know, redneck, to paint a bumper. Then I looked at the stack on my truck and thought well, I am what I am! As it turns out, the bumper looks great. The match is not perfect, but it's close enough so I won't have to do the rest if I don't want to. If this stuff weathers the summer sun (what little we get here in Binghamton) I think I'll do the whole set.

kiwi black - liquid shoe dye - works great, especially on textured plastics

janb, I was thinking about a shoe product. Does the shoe dye stay on good or will I have black streaks down the truck after the first rain?

i wiped armor-all on my moulding and bumper covers. it stays shiny and black for a couple of weeks, then needs more. i'm hoping it might be soaking in and lasting longer - probably just wishful thinking. either way, it only takes about 2 minutes to wipe some on.
