Unhappy the beast is down

Well I'm out.

We had a snow storm today, little ol car couldn't stop in their driveway and clipped the back of my truck...... rear tire and bumper area. That was just enough to line me up with a telephone pole.....dead center.....which I cleaned off.....of course......

Shattered the pole, and the entire front of the truck. luckily nobody got hurt, but the truck isn't going to make it to Texas in three months like I had planned.

I will try to get some pictures up here the beginning of the week.

that sucks. i was in the same boat just a few weeks ago. dumb girl in a saturn with frosted windows pulled right out in front of me. no one hurt, but it was kinda neat seeing a saturn explode into a thousand little plastic bits!

good luck with the insurance company!

It was my little truck. Here are some pictures from my phone camera, I'll get some better ones of the front later.

my brothers truck looked familiar, looks like its time for a flat bed, and a new core support, and a new hood. ad a good brush guard and your set to take it from the front an rear. you realy did to...

That must've been quite an impact to shatter the light pole like that!

That storm yesterday was the worst driving this year. I had to put chains on so I could plow. It was real wet. That sucks about your truck. I guess you wont be at the drags with me before you go south. The insurance co will not give you jack for the truck damage. They most likely will total it and give you 1500 bucks. Hopefully you will be able to buy it back cheap. I bought back a car my wife crunched for $106.00. Don't know how they came to that odd figure. Did it get the frame?

The light pole wasn't all that great to begin with so it was probably a good show for the girl in the car, it completely exploded with wood, sparks, wires and that green box flying all over.

I haven't opened up the hood or crawled underneath it yet to see what the frame and motor look like. The ends of the frame are bent around from the bumper mounts folding up. I don't think anything hit the engine, the truck was still running and sounded normal, luckily I don't have the fan on because I needed all the clearance I could get in there.

Richie, we were just saying how it wasn't worth it drive these trucks in the winter with the salt and stuff, at least you did the right thing. If you are going to go Winterport this spring I will still go to watch.... you don't need coolant for an 1/8 mile run anyways do you?
