I've heard good about both. I had a buddy with BD converter in his 24 valve that he bought used with over 200,000 miles on it and he put at least another 80,000 on it and said it still did a heck of job.

I'd say might as well put a 2nd gen flexplate in there just to be safe, they're not too pricey either.

I imagine the replacement will come with new bolts. I know the SunCoast unit with the billet cover-plate, shorter bolts are required.
