autometer pyro ?

Hello, I was just about to order the autometer pyrometer #2654-z (this is the one genos has on their site) when I noticed the instructions say to use it post turbo on turbo engines and in the manifold only on non turbo applications. Is anyone using this gauge preturbo? or should I go with the issopro that is listed for preturbo applications? THANKS

i dont have the z serise but i have the ultra lights and munted mine pre turbo. you just run the risk of the probe breaking off for some reason and wasting the turbo. its only money... ha ha.

Just curious, what are the negatives of putting one in post turbo vs preturbo? Thanks again

inacurate readings. meaning it can be anywhere from 300-500*'s cooler than the actual manifold temp. and you dont have to worrk about the probe taking the turbo out

They might say that cause their probe might only be good to 1400 or so degrees. The manifold will see higher temps than the downpipe. I have the Isspro ev series with a high temp 2000* probe in the manifold.
