which automatic

I was hoping to get some insight from you guys vast experience, was going 5 speed but would like an auto. which one and why pro's and con's. I have a D250 ctd 5speed 21 mpg what can I expect from an auto.

If you are going to do a conversion, go with the 47 RH, it gives you the lockup TC. Better mileage!!

speed limit thats tough! is the 47rh controlled by a computer or just a switch for the o/d.

Nope, this one is all hydraulic, the only electronics are for the OD and lockup. You can control this via a toggle switch or through a pressure switch.

The automatics have a taller OD ratio than the Getrag. 0.69:1 vs 0.77:1
