Auto Transmission Question
Nope, that is the throttle valve cable and has nothing to do with overdrive function. It increases the line pressure of the trans as you give it more throttle, affects the first 3 gears.
Boy does it ever...
Mine was kinda sliding into 2nd and 3rd.
I put a bolt and nut into the TV slot and adjusted the cable so that wot would push the tv cable ALL the way to the stop.
Now she SHIFTS into gear...
Only prob is she holds the gears longer - 1st = ~ 18, 2nd = ~ 28, OD = ~ 38.
On the other hand the engine doesn't lug as much and I believe my mileage is up ~ 1 mpg in town.
I think I'll really see an improvement when I get the 47RH in and get it adjusted.
I'm not sure if I want to lock up in 3rd or wait until OD...I'll wait and see how and at what speeds it shifts normally before I set the lock up speed.
