Mine are wasted. I'm considering buying a pair of tailights off of ebay. Has anyone ever bought the aftermarket ones? Are they good enough?

 

I have aftermarket ones (from Jcwhitney). They fit fine and so far no problems

 

I put on after-market when mine got stolen. they work fine. one of them didn't fit just right but they sent me another right away.

 

Bought mine off Ebay and they worked great!

 

I bought a set for my '85 from JC Whitney, the chrome trim faded out after a year. They fit fine, and the truck was a beater so I didn't care too much, but the quality was obviously lacking. The chrome on the originals on my '93 still looks fine after 14 years.

 

dont forget ramcharger tailights fit our trucks. There's many good RCs sitting around in junkyards with good bodies and lights. both my '92 and '93 trucks have ramcharger tailights

 

I think 1st gen Dak`s fit as well

 

I bought a whole other truck with good tail lights then sold it after the swap.

 

I got mine from the dodge dealer but they are a pretty penny, but I think they look better then the aftermarket ones.

 

Purchased mine from ebay and they seem to work great. The casting of the plastic was not perfect but it held all the bulbs okay and the four screws lined up with the factory mounts.

 

The ones at JC-W are about $35, as are most others I have looked at.

How much are the ones from E-Bay; and, how do I find them??

I took a heat-gun to a red marker-lens and form-fitted it over the huge hole that was in the wife's right side one, then hot-melt glue-gunned it on.

It is hardly noticable in the dark, but sticks out like a sore thumb in the daylight.

I paid $35 shipped on ebay and they fit fine and look tons better than my old ones.
